Barstool Rockers

Barstool Rockers is hosted by two life-long music fans. Both passionate Classic Rockers and avid talkers, their love of the music gives them the fuel to dive in and debate the topics that effect the music they love. Whether it's pure Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Prog Rock or even a little of today's Rock, the guys' goal is to keep you informed and maybe even entertained. Jim hosts mid-days and Dan is on afternoons for Classic Rock 92.1, WMEQ right in America's heartland, in Eau Claire, WI.

Randy Bachman will be playing a show locally, in our home-base of Eau Claire, WI at the Pablo Center in a few weeks and we had a chance to talk to him as part of a press junket. A brief chat with an icon of the Classic Rock world, whose latest album "By George, By Bachman" pays tribute to Beatle George Harrison.

Randy gives us some insight as to his inspiration for the album and love for the Beatles, as well as a brief chat about a favorite topic of the podcast: The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Needless to say, one of our hosts began his meltdown even before he walked in the door.

It's been a few weeks since we chatted about the happenings around music.  Seemed like a good day to catch up on things like: Ozzy's LAST EVER tour, Madonna's tribute to Aretha, the first performer at Stonehenge, Ghost's Halloween show, covering oldies, the new AC/DC rumors, Alice Cooper's thoughts on today's musicians, Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack, Steve Perry, Michael Schenker, Mr. Big and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

We wrap up our conversation with Robert Berry, talk about the new album from the band 3.2 entitled, The Rules Have Changed. This is a continuation of the album that Robert made with Carl Palmer and Keith Emerson back in the late 80s with the band 3, called To the Power of Three.

We spend some time talking about Keith, Robert's musical career, prog rock, the 80s, washing dishes, the December People and more.

If you haven't yet heard the album, you can get it from iTunes, stream it on Spotify and iHeartRadio, the Frontiers Records websiteAmazon and anywhere great music is found.

The album features the last musical work from the late, great Keith Emerson, as he and Robert were sharing musical ideas and mapping out the album that came about after his passing.
